2006 Chrysler 300 is a full-size sedan that returns to a rear-wheel drive platform. It is offered in Base, 300C, Touring, Limited, and SRT-8 trims.

For 2006, Chrysler 300 gains a number of upgrades, including eight-way power seat with power recline replacing the previous six-way power seat, an optional DVD entertainment system placed at the rear of the center console, and tire pressure monitoring system on Limited and Touring trims.

Engine Specs

The Base version was powered by a 2.7-L DOHC V6 engine that delivered 190 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, while being mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

Chrysler Touring and Limited trims were powered by a 3.5-L SOHC V6 cylinder engine, which pumped out 250 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque, while being paired with a five-speed shiftable automatic transmission.

The rear-wheel drive Chrysler 300C equipped with a 5.7-L Hemi V8 engine delivered 340 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, when mated to 5-speed automatic gearbox.

The SRT8 trim equipped with a 6.1-L V8 engine produced peak power of 425 hp and torsion of about 420 pound-feet.
