The V8 engine has the bore size of 109.7 mm, stroke of 95.3 mm and compression ratio of 9.6. The V8 engine is mated to a standard 4-speed automatic transmission. With the V8 engine, the 1968 Chrysler 300 model can achieve fuel economy of 16 miles per gallon in the city premises and 25 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The top speed of the model is electronically limited to 120 miles per hour.<br />
