The Chrysler 300 comes mostly unchanged for the model year 2009. It shares its basic design with the Dodge Charger sedan model. For 2009, the 300 version is offered in 5 trim levels, namely the Touring, Limited, Touring Signature, Chrysler 300 SRT8 and 300 C. Limited and Touring models are offered in all wheel drive, while the other models are offered in rear wheel drive.

Engine
The Chrysler 300 SRT8 comes equipped with a 6.1 liter Hemi V8 engine that delivers 425 hp of power at 5400 rpm and torque of 390 lb ft at 4800 rpm. The V8 engine is mated to 5-speed automatic transmission, while it also offers 4-speed automatic transmission as optional. With the V8 engine, the SRT8 model can achieve fuel economy of 16 miles per gallon in the city premises and 25 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The top speed of the model is electronically limited to 120 miles per hour.
